Headed for L.A., Rams Linebacker James Laurinaitis Lists Missouri Home

The exodus of NFL players heading from St. Louis to Los Angeles has started, and linebacker James Laurinaitis is riding the first wave out of Missouri -- even if he's reluctant to leave. The star linebacker is selling his beloved 7,000-square-foot home in Creve Coeur, MO, for $2.3 million.
The listing comes just a couple of weeks after the NFL voted to let the Rams return to Los Angeles after 21 years of playing in the Gateway City. It's already caused a mad scramble for housing for players and coaches in Los Angeles.
Laurinaitis and his wife, Shelley, were so impressed by this six-bedroom spec home they bought it "on the spot, furniture and all," not long after it was built in 2012, listing agent Rorey Lane says.
They added a few upgrades to the certified green home during their tenure, putting in a saltwater pool with hot tub, an outdoor kitchen, and pergola. They also finished the 2,700-square-foot lower level with a media room, a 700-bottle wine cellar, and a full bar.
"It was going to be their forever home," Lane says. However, Rams owner Stan Kroenke had other plans that revolved around the fact that Los Angeles was ready to build a fancy new stadium for its new (old?) team.
