Bye-Bye, Braves: Royals Pitcher Mike Minor Is Selling Atlanta-Area Home

Atlanta is out! Former Braves pitcher Mike Minor has tagged his Atlanta-area home for sale after signing a $7.25 million, two-year contract with the Kansas City Royals last month.
The 28-year-old lefty had pitched for the Braves since the beginning of his Major League Baseball career in 2009.
Recovering from shoulder surgery, Minor became a free agent in 2015. Now, the former first-round draft pick is hoping to make a comeback from injury with a new team in a new town.
Meanwhile, his 2011 Atlanta-area home is available for $469,900.
What can we say? The four-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom home has perfect pitch. The 2,500-square-foot space includes covered stone porches outside and hardwood floors within. The residence has been freshened with new carpet and paint.
Plus there's a chef's kitchen with granite counters that looks out to an open family room. The large master suite features a balcony. And the place is located in a kid-friendly cul-de-sac.
"This property is beautiful … [and] move-in ready," listing agent Katie Pierce says. The scoreboard says that a savvy buyer will score a sweet deal.
