Influential progressive Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., has been quiet in the Democratic presidential race so far but expressed support for Hillary Clinton on Wall Street Monday after over a month of not tweeting.

"Hillary Clinton is right to fight GOP efforts to sneak financial reform rollbacks into the funding bill," Warren tweeted on Monday, linking to Clinton's recently released New York Times op-ed about the Democratic front-runner's plans to rein in Wall Street.

Warren followed up in another tweet, "I agree with Hillary Clinton: 'President Obama & congressional Democrats should do everything they can to stop these efforts.'"

In the past, Warren has criticized Clinton for not going far enough in her critiques of Wall Street as well as her close ties to numerous big banks. In addition, the Massachusetts senator was noticeably absent from a recent "Women for Hillary" fundraiser in Washington, D.C. last week where all the other female Democratic senators endorsed Clinton and spoke on her behalf.
