Ryan: Congress won't pass Trump's deportation plan

House Speaker Paul Ryan told CBS' Scott Pelley that Donald Trump's plan to deport 11 million illegal immigrants would never pass Congress.

The newly appointed speaker said he can't imagine how that plan would ever happen under his leadership, according to the pre-taped 60 Minutes interview that will air Sunday.

Instead, Ryan said his team will focus on finding common ground between both parties and the White House.

"If we can find common ground … we can on highways, we will on funding the government, hopefully we can on tax policy … those are three things that will produce certainty in this economy in the next few months," Ryan said.
