Senior White House Correspondent Major Garrett has learned that President Obama will rally his political troops Friday when he holds an early morning Cabinet meeting at the White House.
The President is tasking his team with selling the many themes he outlined in his State of the Union speech and are to be included in his budget, which will be released Monday.
Mr. Obama's Cabinet secretaries will be traveling around the country in the coming weeks to talk education, energy, transportation (specifically, high-speed rail) and stimulus spending.
Today, though, the President himself, along with Vice President Biden, will be in Tampa touting $8 billion in funding for a high-speed rail system; part of the stimulus package passed last year.
