A former Oklahoma City police officer charged with raping and assaulting 13 black women while on duty was convicted on 18 counts Thursday night after four days of jury deliberations.

Daniel Holtzclaw, 29, was charged in August 2014 with 36 felony counts of rape, forcible oral sodomy, indecent exposure and other charges. He faces more than 260 years in prison.

Prosecutors alleged Holtzclaw targeted women he had pulled over in traffic stops. More than a dozen victims took the stand and claimed the officer assaulted or raped them. He blackmailed the women, saying he would not arrest them for drug charges if they did not report the sexual misconduct.
