New ad touts Carson's ability to 'inspire life'

An ad released Friday by Ben Carson's campaign tells the story of a woman who credits the former pediatric neurosurgeon with saving her pregnancy.

The 60 second ad, titled "Isabella," features Christy Wood, who got pregnant at the age of 40, and five months in found out her daughter had Dandy-Walker Syndrom, a congenital brain malformation that results in physical and mental disabilities.

After speaking with a handful of neurologists who gave her varying opinions on whether to keep the baby, Wood called Ben Carson.

Text in the ad explains that Carson provided a review free of charge, as Wood says her insurance would not have covered it.
