Michelle Obama welcomes annual White House Christmas tree

First lady Michelle Obama hosted the official welcome for the White House Christmas Tree on Friday.

The 18.5-foot-tall Fraser fir, which was grown by Jay and Glenn Bustard of Lansdale, Pa., was delivered by a horse-drawn wagon on the North Portico of the White House as the Marine Band played. The first lady greeted it with the family dogs, Bo and Sunny.

Per tradition, the tree was presented by the National Christmas Tree Association as part of an annual contest that has been held since 1966.
