UPDATE: 8:42pm ET House has begun the FINAL health care vote, which approves of the final changes the Senate made earlier today to the health bill.
The House of Representatives has approved the “rule,” which allows the House to consider the final Senate changes to the health bill. The vote was 225-199
We expect a short debate of 10 or 15 minutes. And then a final voting series of two votes.
The first vote will be the most important - the final vote on health care..clearing it to go to the president for his signature. It will be a 15 minute vote, but could end up being a little longer than that.
The second vote is a “backstop” on an unrelated issue.
