Race to Watch:
9th Congressional District Runoff -- The 9th Congressional District runoff election in north Georgia is pitting a Tea Party-backed developer against a former state senator.
Tom Graves, who is also a former state representative, has the backing of the Atlanta Tea Party Patriots and is hoping that will help drive him to victory over Lee Hawkins.
The two Republicans are vying for the seat vacated by Nathan Deal, the GOP lawmaker who left office in March to focus on his run for governor. Graves and Hawkins were automatically sent into the runoff after none of the original eight candidates was able to garner 50 percent of the vote in the special election last month.
Whichever candidate wins Tuesday will have to run again in the July 20 primary for a full term.
