A House Democratic lawmaker's endorsement of a men's clothing line and a video game did not violate the House rules, the ethics committee concluded on Monday.

The House Committee on Ethics issued a ten page report clearing Rep. Jared Polis, D-Colo., of any wrongdoing.

"The Committee considered Representative Polis' participation in the video produced by Riot Games and the clothing event with Ninox, and concluded that Representative Polis did not use official resources for a commercial purpose or violate House Rules regarding official endorsement of a commercial entity," the ethics panel said in a statement released on Monday.

Polis had appeared in a video produced by Riot Games that was aimed at promoting their "player base." Polis also participated in an event sponsored by the men's clothing line Ninox, which is located in his congressional district. Ninox contacted Polis after he appeared in GQ, the men's fashion magazine, which labeled him as the lawmaker with the "worst congressional style ever."
