Carson: 'It's very likely' I'd be one-term president if elected

Less than 24 hours after Tuesday's GOP debate, Dr. Ben Carson opined that it's "very likely" that he would only serve one term as president if elected next November.

According to The Washington Post, Carson told a room of Nevada Republicans that he'd probably only serve the single term because of "tough things" that need to be done, intimating that he would disregard popularity in an effort to pass legislation.

"If I'm successful in this endeavor to become president of the United States, it's very likely I would be a one-term president," Carson said. "There are some tough things that need to be done."

It was the second time in a week's time that Carson floated the idea of serving for just a single term, having done so at an event in Atlanta last Wednesday.
