Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker has fired a campaign aide for making demeaning comments about Hispanics on social media.

Walker ousted Taylor Palmisano as his campaign's deputy finance director Tuesday. The Republican governor made the move after No Quarter contacted his campaign about the tweets.

In a March 2011 tweet, Palmisano referred as a custodian in a library where she was working as "illegal" and said "turn off your Walkman."

Two months earlier she went on Twitter to say "Nobody speaks English" on the bus she was riding after watching Wisconsin play in the Rose Bowl.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports a Walker campaign spokesman says both the governor and his campaign "condemn these insulting remarks."

Palmisano issued a statement apologizing and saying she regrets "these offensive and irresponsible remarks."
