WWE legend Kurt Angle provides 'crazy' detail about iconic 'milk-o-mania' moment

The Attitude Era in WWE, then known as the World Wrestling Federation, provided some of the wildest moments in pro wrestling history. With those must-see segments, the company was able to win the "Monday Night Wars" and buy out its competition.
Kurt Angle was a main figure in some of those showcases and helped lead WWE into its Ruthless Aggression Era. One moment that sticks out more than most was the time Angle doused the "Stone Cold" Steve Austin-led alliance.

After WWE brought in World Championship Wrestling (WCW) and Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) wrestlers, The Alliance was formed as part of an "invasion" angle. Angle was leading the charge for the WWE. The group showed appreciation for Austin on the Aug. 20, 2001, edition of "Monday Night Raw."
Angle interrupted the ceremony by driving a milk truck down to the ring. He connected a hose to the truck and doused everyone in the ring with what everyone thought was milk.
"Milk-o-Mania is running wild," then-WWE commentator Jim Ross said during the segment.
When OutKick Dropkick asked Angle what his favorite type of milk was, he revealed a key detail about the segment. It wasn’t actually milk that he sprayed during the moment.
"My milk of choice is 2%. But that wasn't really milk. That was food coloring," he said on behalf of Gambling.com, the guide to the best online sportsbooks. "What they did, it is pretty cool, the hose that we had hooked up it had food coloring in the right front where the spicket is or where the knob is. And when the water would go through, it would turn white.

"So, everybody thought it was milk and you know what's crazy is it wasn't. But it looked like milk. When I was drinking the milk and chugging it down, that was real milk. But it was crazy because a lot of people think that the hose that was spraying ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin and Stephanie McMahon down was real milk and it wasn't."
The spot is still one of the most-talked-about moments of Angle’s career and it definitely had this journalist fooled at the old age of nine.
Angle had a storied career in WWE.
He was a six-time world champion, won the Intercontinental Championship, European Championship, Hardcore Championship, United States Championship and Tag Team Championship one-time each and was the 2000 King of the Ring. He was the fifth person to be recognized as a Grand Slam champion.

Angle was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2017.
