An Arizona woman is crediting her dog with saving her life.  Bethe Bennett fell on her tiled kitchen Friday, broke her femur and passed out, ABC15.com reported.

Bennett’s service dog, Danny, licked her face until she woke back up, the news station reported.

Bennett asked the miniature schnauzer to fetch the phone for her.  Though Danny hasn’t picked up the phone with his teeth in years, he eventually remembered how to do so, and Bennett was able to call 911.

“I would still be there,” Bennett told ABC15. “Nobody was coming to check on me until Monday or Tuesday.”

Bennett, an author, said she never dreamed Danny would save her life, and now plans to write future tales about him.
