A New Jersey woman has filed a lawsuit against a doctor she says performed a botched eyelid procedure on her, which now makes it impossible for her to close her eyes, CBS 2 reported.
Marilyn Leisz of Bloomingdale, N.J., had a blepharoplasty done in 2005 to correct bumps on her eyelids from a different cosmetic procedure. She is suing Dr. Paul Parker for negligence, and asking for an unspecified amount of money.
Leisz said she cannot close her eyes – even when she sleeps. She said she uses gel and a vaporizer at night to keep them lubricated, but she is afraid of injuring them further or losing her vision.
“All the favorite things I used to, like tennis, racquetball, swimming, horseback riding, bike riding, skeet shooting, gardening, I can’t do those things,” Leisz said.
Parker and his attorney refused to comment to CBS 2 on Tuesday.
