Massachusetts Man Advertises for Kidney on Billboard

Published November 20, 2014

A Massachusetts man is advertising for a kidney with a billboard on his front lawn, myFOXboston.com reported Saturday.

Mark Wolper, of Swampcott, is also taking other desperate measures in his search to find a donor.

He has lost one kidney to cancer and the other one is failing. He is about to approach the need for dialysis but wants a live kidney before that happens.

Instead of waiting on a list along with 80,000 others in need of a kidney he has launched a massive campaign, including handing out pamphlets to strangers at his local library and putting the billboard on his front lawn.

Wolper said he has had a massive response and several phone calls from strangers wanting to help.

Although he is yet to find a donor he is feeling good about his chances.
