What a difference two weeks without any chemo makes! My energy is up to 90 percent, I am feeling optimistic, and even (dare I say it?) carefree.
As I have a break from chemotherapy until May, I am thrilled to be boarding a plane this morning to visit my daughter in Washington, D.C. Next week I will travel to New York to spend time with my son.
I am excited about news that research funded by the Noreen Fraser Foundation has been fruitful and will have a positive impact on the lives of women. A research grant funded by our foundation had results so promising that pharmaceutical giant Pfizer will now direct 100 million dollars toward the project, effectively moving this treatment more quickly “from the bench to the bedside!”
Our foundation has again teamed up with the premiere charity auction site, CharityBuzz.com, who will be offering an incredible selection of auction items on which the public can bid. The proceeds will benefit the Noreen Fraser Foundation and our mission to fund women's cancer research. More information on this, as well as details about our unique celebrity E-card campaign, next week.
Life is good, and there is so much to celebrate!
Noreen Fraser is living with Stage IV metastatic breast cancer. She is co-founder of STAND UP TO CANCER and co-produced the TV show, which raised 100 million dollars for cancer research. Noreen went on to create the Noreen Fraser Foundation to raise money and awareness for women's cancer research. The 'Men for Women Now' program enlists men to ask the women they love to make appointments for their mammogram and pap smear. For more information: go to noreenfraserfoundation.org. Noreen can be reached at noreen@noreenfraserfoundation.org and followed on Twitter @noreenfraser.
