Cops in Oakland Township, Mich., are seeking the public’s help in tracking down an armed robber with a taste for Subway sandwiches.
Police say the suspect, wearing construction gear as well as a dust mask covering part of his face, walked into a Subway restaurant on Sunday evening posing as a customer, and proceeded to order a sandwich, WDIV reported.
Footage released by the Oakland County Sheriff’s Department shows the robber requesting what appears to be a side of mayonnaise or dressing, as well as two cookies, which the on-duty employee bags and places on the counter.

When the employee rings up the order, however, the suspect produces a semi-automatic handgun and lays it on the counter while demanding money from the register.
The footage shows the employee complying with the suspect’s demands and handing over the cash drawer, which is promptly emptied by the thief.
“The suspect then exited the store and fled on foot with the money from the cash register with approximately $200 cash, his Subway Sub sandwich and two cookies,” investigators said, according to The Detroit News.
A K-9 unit was able to track the suspect’s scent to a nearby retail center, where police believe he hopped into a car and fled the scene.
