Counterfeit Cola

Created by Don Lee, this American Hustle-inspired sipper -- aptly called the Counterfeit Cola – is on the menu at New York’s new downtown den of throwback seventies sipping, the Golden Cadillac, where it is served in popular bottled, carbonated cocktail form. Lee makes his own barrel-aged Galliano (can’t you just see Jennifer Lawrence nipping at a bottle hidden beneath the toaster cozy?) – the golden-hued Italian liqueur that became wildly popular in the 60s and 70s, famed for being the prime ingredient in a Harvey Wallbanger. But you can use it in its straight form to great effect, too.

Ingredients:

1 ounce Galliano

1/2 ounce coffee liqueur

6 ounce cola

Preparation:

Fill a tall glass with ice.

Pour in ingredients.

Stir gently and serve.
