Believe it or not, the return of 1990s dimwits "Beavis and Butt-Head" was inspired by . . . Lady Gaga.
"I was eating Fruit Loops and Cap'n Crunch out of the box and flipping through the dials when a Lady Gaga video came on," MTV president Van Toffler told Rolling Stone. "I felt like there was a whole crop of new artists -- and what the world sorely missed was the point of view that only Beavis and Butt-Head could bring."

When the show returns this summer, B & B will also exclaim "That rules!" and "That sucks!" over "Jersey Shore," UFC matches, and user-generated videos from YouTube, in addition to the music videos of yesteryear.
Just what the world needed -- Beavis and Butt-Head commenting on "silly videos of cats playing music."
While young MTV viewers may welcome the changes, thirty-something fans will be happy to know that Beavis and Butt-Head haven't aged a day in the last 14 years.
"They're the same boneheads sitting on the same couch, commenting on things through a really simple prism," Toffler said.
