There will be no bad blood between Taylor Swift and The Houston Astros as Swift’s original tour date at Minute Maid Park for October 13th has been changed to September 9th.
When Swift announced tour dates for 1989 album last December, the Houston team reserved the right to move the concert date writing: “Note: the date of the Taylor Swift 1989 tour show at MMP is subject to change if it conflicts with an Astros postseason home game."
Fans mocked the Astros for even thinking the team would make the playoffs after having been one of baseball's worst teams over the psat three years.
But surprise surprise, if the playoff started today, the Astros would be in it! So the Astros and Swift announced the tour date change Monday as they “proactively prepare for potential postseason play.”
So far, the 1989 tour has been on fire as Swift takes the stage with top artists including Jason Derulo, Sam Hunt, MKTO and even Nick Jonas.
Folks who purchased tickets can shake off their fears as ticket holders will receive the same seats for the September date or a refund if the date doesn’t work for them.
