Sean Penn's son Hopper admits fighting crystal meth addiction

Sean Penn‘s son, Hopper Penn, has opened up about his fight with crystal meth addiction.

“I was doing a lot of stuff,” the 23-year-old recently told ES Magazine. “But meth was the main one that brought me down.”

Penn recalled his dad’s reaction to his drug problems, saying, “I went to rehab because I woke up in a hospital and my dad was like, ‘Rehab? Or bus bench?’ I was like, ‘I’ll take the bed.'”

“Thank God I got out of that because that was the worst time in my life,” he continued. “Because it’s not fun when it gets to a point where you just need it.”

Penn completed rehab three years ago and has been working on staying clean and pursuing an acting career ever since.
