Sean Kingston's near-fatal jetski accident was caused by the singer's "inexperience" and "inattention," not a mechanical error or environmental hazard, according to a police reported cited Wednesday by TMZ.

Authorities concluded after a three-month investigation that the "Beautiful Girls" singer did not understand basic boating safety procedures.

Kingston -- whose real name is Kisean Anderson -- was taken to the Jackson Memorial Hospital in critical condition after his jetski hit the bridge connecting Miami Beach's exclusive Palm Island to the MacArthur Causeway on May 29.

The collision occurred after the Jamaican-American singer released the throttle while turning the jetski's steering wheel, causing him to lose control, the report said.

Kingston reportedly suffered a broken jaw, fractured wrist and water in his lungs during the accident, resulting in a three-week hospital stay.

He was cited for "careless operation in an accident" and fined $180.
