While she did celebrate with her “Modern Family” cast Sunday night after it took home the Emmy for best comedy, unsurprisingly, Sofia Vergara was snubbed again.
The Colombian bombshell was passed over at the 65th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards for “Best Supporting Actress in A Comedy Series,” making it the fourth year in a row the star has failed to earn a trophy for her role as Gloria Delgado-Pritchett on ABC’s hit show.
Vergara lost to actress Merritt Wever (“Nurse Jackie”), who gave the most notable speech where everyone remained un-thanked.
In fact, Wever spoke so briefly that her speech was: “Thank you so much. Um, I gotta go, bye.”
Her words seemed to hit home. The show’s host Neil Patrick Harris, noted: “Merritt Wever, best speech ever.”
The best supporting actress category also included Jane Krakowski (“30 Rock”), Jany Lynch (“Glee”), Julie Bowen (“Modern Family”), Mayim Bialik (“The Big Bang Theory”) and Anna Chlumsky (“Veep”).
While Vergara, 41, might have gone home empty-handed, she had the time of her life – if we go by the number of photos she posted on her WhoSay account throughout the night.
"My family rocking the red carpet," the caption reads.
"Mi other family," says the caption.
