Did Sony Music and RCA have an advantage over singer Kesha when New York Supreme Court Justice Shirley Kornreich tossed out her case against producer Dr. Luke in April?

Kornreich’s husband, lawyer Ed Kornreich, is a partner at Proskauer Rose, a firm that counts Sony/RCA as a client.

“There seems to be a strong conflict of interest,” a music insider mused.

Kesha withdrew her California lawsuit against Dr. Luke for sexual assault and abuse, saying she wanted to “get my music out” this month. But she continues to appeal in New York.

“The lawsuit is so heavy on my once free spirit, and I can only pray to one day feel that happiness again,” the singer said on Facebook.

Sony didn’t comment.
