New York is a helluva town — or at least that's what we're told in Broadway's "On the Town." (To be fair, the actors make a really good case.)
In his latest edition of "In the FOXlight," Michael Tammero gives us a behind-the-scenes preview of the Tony-nominated musical's latest revival, starring Tony Yazbeck, Jay Armstrong Johnson and "So You Think You Can Dance" champion Ricky Ubeda.
"We have three sailors on 24-hour shore leave, and basically, they all find love," explains Yazbeck of the play's plot. "And then they have to leave and go back to war. So it's a very quick 24-hour turn-around, with all of the sights and sounds of the city and all the antics that go on."
And, as co-star Armstrong Johnson promises, "hijinks ensue."
For a helluva backstage peek at "On the Town," including a dance lesson from castmember Ricky Ubeda, be sure to watch the video above.
