By now, you've probably seen the trailer for Paramount's "Baywatch" reboot starring Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron, Alexandra Daddario and And if you haven't, you've at least smelled the coconut oil wafting from their glistening bodies:
But unlike the skimpy swimsuits that pervade the NSFW preview, the trailer isn't as revealing when it comes to the film's celebrity cameos — and that's a shame, because we've got it on good authority that David Hasselhoff filmed a small part.
"They were really enamored with me because I created the character of Mitch [Buchannon]," Hasselhoff tells FNM of being on the set. "They knew that I put heart, humor, action on every script. And they gave me respect … That was really nice."
Hasselhoff was also extremely impressed with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, who plays a hulking incarnation of Mitch Buchannon.
"He's a different choice, but he's got a real nice heart," says Hasselhoff of Johnson. "He's a nice guy and he's a funny guy, [and] that's who I am. I'm a nice guy and I'm a funny guy. And that's what he brings to the role. He brings kind of a twinkle in his eye, but also respect, because he really is in good shape."
Watch the rest of Hasselhoff's interview for his thoughts on working with Zac Efron, then grab a bottle of Hawaiian Tropic and get ready to see Hasselhoff in all his shirtless glory in next year's "Baywatch" movie.
