Marriage can be challenging, even when the couple are both bona fide superstars.
In an interview with The Australian Women's Weekly, Oscar winner Angelina Jolie revealed that her marriage to Brad Pitt often takes a lot of effort.
"Maintaining a marriage and raising kids can be hard work," Jolie said. "[We] work really hard at nurturing our family to make sure that everybody is alright and everyone stays connected… You have to really make sure that your work doesn’t get in the way. That you don’t do something that is going to put too much strain on your family."

Jolie and Pitt began seeing each other in 2005 after working together on the action comedy "Mr. & Mrs. Smith." Pitt had recently finalized his divorce from "Friends" star Jennifer Aniston, while Jolie had gotten divorced from actor Billy Bob Thornton in 2003, months after the two had adopted Jolie's son, Maddox, from an orphanage in Cambodia.
In 2005, Pitt accompanied Jolie to Ethiopia, where she adopted her second child, Zahara Marley. In January 2006, the couple announced that Jolie was pregnant, and she gave birth to daughter Shiloh in May 2006. The couple now have six children in total.
After seven years, Jolie and Pitt got engaged in April 2012, and the couple tied the knot in August 2014 at a small, private wedding in France – weeks before Pitt's friend and frequent co-star George Clooney famously got married in Italy.
According to Jolie, she is "very happy to be married," and enjoys being able to refer to Pitt as "my husband."
