The first official details and images of the Savage Rivale GTR have just been released, showing the racing version of the Roadyacht in full livery. The lightweight, high-power hand-built Dutch limited-edition racer looks ready to do business.

Based on its specs, that business will be serious: weighing just over 2,260 pounds, and powered by V-8s in various trims from 700 to 800 horsepower, the Rivale GTR stands ready to go toe-to-toe with the best from the world's top supercar brands--but only on track.

Just 69 will be built, each car hand-constructed from chromoly steel to form the chassis, with scissor doors, a 6.2-liter V-8, rear-wheel drive, straight-pipe exhaust, a six-speed manual transmission, and a front-mounted turbocharger feeding the mid-mounted engine. Recaro race seats with six-point belts and a custom carbon fiber race-spec interior finish off the race car's interior.

Fully adjustable coilovers sit on double A-arms, while Brembo ceramic brakes handle stopping duty. Savage says the Rivale GTR is capable of 2.8-second 0-60 mph runs and a top speed in excess of 225 mph.

At a cool €141,250 ($186,715) the Rivale GTR isn't a casual purchase, but it's not that bad for a purpose-built, custom race car.
