Amid the chaos over the attack outside Parliament in London, officials shut down the London Eye Wednesday for hours, with people still inside.
Staffers kept hundreds of passengers inside the tourist attraction as a safety precaution. By Wednesday evening, everyone was out safely.

One Twitter user was documenting his experience while trapped. Among a series of photos, he says, “Almost an hour later, uploaded in the London Eye, this is what you see from above.”
The London Eye confirmed that passengers were getting released one by one, pod by pod.
Dozens of officers were at the scene at the London Eye getting statements from people on board.
