ZAGREB, Croatia – Croatia's president is holding consultations with political parties after the government fell in a no-confidence vote, amid claims by the opposition that they have gathered enough support to dissolve Parliament and force early elections.
President Kolinda Grabar Kitarovic is expected later Friday to announce whether she will appoint a new prime minister-designate. If no party has a majority in Parliament, the president must dissolve the assembly and schedule the snap vote.
