The foreign affairs adviser to Pakistan's prime minister says "all indicators" confirm that Taliban chief Mullah Akhtar Mansour was killed in a U.S. drone strike in the country's southwest while travelling under a false name with a fake Pakistani identity document.

At a news briefing Thursday, Sartaj Aziz said Pakistan was awaiting the DNA test results, after which his body will be handed to his relatives.

Aziz condemns the strike, calling it a violation of Pakistan's sovereignty. He says that "we have conveyed our serious concern to the United States on this issue."

Aziz says the drone attack has "undermined the Afghan peace process" but he still believes that the way to resolve the Afghanistan's conflict is through negotiation.
