An official says an Indian nurse and her infant son have been killed in a rocket attack on their apartment in a town near the Libyan capital.

Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj tweeted Saturday that the attack on Sunu Sathyan's home took place Friday.

Swaraj said Sathyan worked in a hospital in the town of Zawiya. Swaraj has asked the 26 other Indians working at the hospital to leave the area.

It wasn't immediately clear who fired the rocket.

Libya's chaos, five years after the uprising that led to the ouster and killing of longtime autocrat Moammar Gadhafi, has left the country deeply divided and ruled by an internationally recognized government and parliament based in the east and a rival government and parliament in Tripoli, backed by Islamist-allied militias.
