The Israeli military and Lebanese security officials say three rockets fired from Lebanon have landed in Israel.

Sirens wailed in northern Israel where the rockets hit. No injuries or damage has been reported.

The Lebanese officials said the rockets were fired from an area south of the Lebanese port city of Tyre. They spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to brief reporters.

The rocket fire Sunday comes after Samir Kantar, a fighter from the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah who carried out one of the most notorious attacks in Israel, was killed in Syria in an airstrike. Hezbollah blames the strike on Israel. Kantar spent nearly 30 years in an Israeli prison and was returned to Lebanon in a controversial prisoner exchange.
