Authorities say five people have been injured after an explosion in a bread factory in the central Romanian city of Brasov.

The explosion occurred Thursday evening at the factory located near a football stadium in Brasov where FC Brasov was playing CSM Ramnicu Valcea in a second division soccer game.

Stelian Rechitean, head of emergency situations in Brasov, said the fire had been extinguished. One person was seriously injured and six people were evacuated unharmed.

No immediate reason was given for the blast.

Fire regulations can be lax in Romania. The incident came days after a fire ripped through a basement nightclub on Oct. 30, killing some 31. More than 130 remain hospitalized.
