Several opinion polls released over the weekend, 3 weeks ahead of Greece's snap election, show a tight race and no overall majority in a Parliament even more fractured than the previous one.

A total of six opinion polls were released Saturday and Sunday. All show the left-wing Syriza party ahead of conservative New Democracy, with leads ranging from 1 to 3.1 percent. In all three polls the margin of statistical error is around 3 percent.

The last surveys in July, before Syriza was split by the defection of left-wing dissidents opposed to the bailout deal with the country's creditors, showed it with mostly double-digit leads.

Four of the six polls show an 8-party Parliament and the other two a 9-party one, up from seven in the outgoing legislature.
