Israeli police say they're investigating the killing of a Polish tourist whose body bore signs of violence.

Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said Sunday the woman was found in a forest in Nazareth in northern Israel three days after being reported missing. He said police are investigating and it's still not clear if she was killed in a criminally motivated attack or by militants.

Rosenfeld said the woman had been staying at a hotel in Nazareth with her father and was reported missing Thursday night. The mostly Arab city in northern Israel with holy sites sacred to Christians is a big draw for tourists.

Such attacks on tourists are rare in Israel.
