Police say a woman stabbed students at a Czech high school with a knife, killing a teenager and injuring two others.

Spokeswoman Jana Kroutilova says the attack took place Tuesday morning in the central town of Zdar nad Sazavou, 120 kilometers (75 miles) southeast of Prague.

Kroutilova says the victim was a 16-year old boy. She says the 26-year-old female suspect also injured two teenage girls and a police officer before she was arrested.

Police say the suspect was from a different Czech region and it was not immediately clear why she attacked the students. No further details were immediately available.
