The NYPD arrested a suspect in the attempted sexual assault of a mother in front of her three children.

Police say they busted Pedro Vargas, 48, of Yonkers on Thursday.

Chilling surveillance video released by cops showed a  man pretending to be a livery cab driver. Cops say he picked up the woman and her children, 5, 3 and 1 years old, on 207th St. in the Inwood section of Manhattan at about 2:45 a.m. on Sunday.

The man drove the family to the Pan American Hotel in Elmhurst, Queens where he pulled over, grabbed the older child out of the car and placed the child on the sidewalk. He is seen pulling the woman out of the passenger seat.

As he tries to sexually assault her and push her into the backseat, the woman attempts to get her 3-year-old out of the car.

The suspect then elbows the five-year-old in the face and tries to shove the woman into the car. She tries to grab her belongings as she clings to the youngest child.

Before giving up, the man pulls the three-year-old out of the vehicle and throws the child onto the sidewalk. He then drives away with the doors open and hazard lights on.

The NYPD released the security video and asked for the public's help tracking down the suspect.

Vargas faces several charges including assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
