Police in Guatemala kills himself, 2 colleagues while checking captured drug cargo

GUATEMALA CITY – Guatemala's government says a police agent shot to death two colleagues and then killed himself while checking a captured drug shipment.

Government Minister Mauricio Lopez Bonilla told reporters that agent Carlos Humberto Jimenez Munoz was arguing with colleague Paulino Saloj Ramirez Friday when another agent tried to calm the two men down. The minister said Jimenez Munoz pulled out a gun and shot his two colleagues before killing himself.

The captured drugs had been found during a check of 14 containers where the agents discovered 154 packages, 23 containing heroin and 131 with cocaine.
