Serbian authorities say Jovanka Broz, the widow of Yugoslav communist leader Josip Broz Tito, will be buried with military honors at the same complex where her late husband's tomb is located.

A government committee said Monday the funeral will be held at noon on Saturday. It says the military honors were approved because of Broz's role in the anti-Nazi movement during World War II. Broz died Sunday of heart failure in a Belgrade hospital. She was 88.

Broz was wounded twice while fighting with Partisan guerrillas led by Tito. She first became Tito's personal secretary after the war before becoming his wife in 1952.

After Tito died in 1980, his successors placed Broz under house arrest for allegedly planning a coup. She had lived in isolation ever since.
