A Chinese court says it will deliver a verdict against the disgraced Chinese politician Bo Xilai on Sunday.

The former Politburo member and Chongqing city party leader stood trial last month in the eastern city Jinan on charges of taking bribes, embezzlement and abuse of power. Bo vigorously defended himself, admitting mistakes but not admitting guilt.

The Jinan Intermediate People's Court said Wednesday on its Twitter-like Sina Weibo account that the verdict will be announced Sunday at 10 a.m.
