Chilean officials say police have evicted hundreds of students who seized control of their high schools to demand educational reforms.

The interior and security minister says 122 people were arrested early Thursday when police in riot gear stormed into the schools and clashed with students. At least one officer is injured.

The 28 schools will be used as voting sites during Sunday's primary presidential election.

President Sebastian Pinera warned students earlier this week that they risked being removed by force to protect the rights of Chilean voters. Students took over the schools two weeks ago.
