Pope John Paul II could become a saint by October as the Vatican looks into another possible miracle involving him, according to Italian media reports.
To be canonized, two miracles must be attributed to John Paul II, the Telegraph reports. The former Polish pope went through the first step of sainthood – beatification -- in 2011 after a French nun was reportedly cured of Parkinson's Disease when her prayers were said to him.
Italian Catholic magazine Credere reported that a panel of Vatican medical experts approved a second case that could be attributed to Pope John Paul II as a miracle. But it must also get approval from Pope Francis, cardinals and Vatican theologians.
The second case involves an unnamed woman and happened on the day Pope John Paul II was beatified. A Vatican spokesman denied comment, the Telegraph reports.
