The domestic partner of Spanish journalist Javier Espinosa says he has escaped the besieged Syrian city of Homs and is in neighboring Lebanon.

Monica Garcia Prieto said Wednesday that two French journalists, one of them wounded, remain behind in the rebel-held Homs neighborhood of Baba Amr, which is under government assault.

British photographer Paul Conroy was smuggled out of Syria into Lebanon on Tuesday. Still in Homs are Edith Bouvier and William Daniels, both of France.

Bouvier and Conroy were wounded last week in a government rocket attack that killed American journalist Marie Colvin and French photographer Remi Ochlik.
