Norwegian Police Investigating Twin Attacks Carry Out Armed Raid in Oslo

Published November 17, 2014

NewsCore

Norwegian police carried out an armed raid in Oslo on Sunday in connection to Friday's twin attacks in the country that killed at least 92 people, newspaper Verdens Gang reported.

Local media reported the raid targeted a property in the east of the capital and was conducted by Delta, the country's specialized police unit.

It is believed the raid was in connection with Friday's car bomb blast in Oslo's government quarter, rather than the later shooting massacre at a youth summer camp on Utoya island, 25 miles (40 kilometers) northwest of the capital.

Anders Behring Breivik, a 32-year-old Norwegian national, has confessed to carrying out both attacks and insisted he acted alone
