At least one person died and five others were wounded in a north Minneapolis shooting Wednesday night.
Minneapolis Police Department spokesman Mike Kjos said officers responded to a report of a shooting at around 8:50 p.m. According to KMSP-TV, one victim was reported dead at the scene and several others were taken to a hospital.
The Star-Tribune reported that calls to 911 from residents around the area and ShotSpotter notifications said that up to 32 shots were fired. Kjos said the incident occurred about two minutes from the Minneapolis Police Department’s Fourth Precinct.
Minneapolis police are still investigating the incident. Police urge any witnesses to the shooting to come forward. Details of a possible suspect or the conditions of the victims weren’t released.
