Detroit police inadvertently released the bra sizes of female officers when the department notified them three weeks ago that their bullet proof vests were delivered, MyFoxDetroit.com reported.
Police sources told the station that Commander Dwayne Love forwarded the email to commanders, who forwarded it to supervisors, who forwarded it to officers.
"On the third page, the females were listed. Unfortunately and embarrassingly, the cup sizes of the females were listed on that third page, and it was really just a clerical error," said Assistant Chief James White. The paper was described as a spreadsheet that included police officer’s height and weight.
"Once we complete our investigation, there will be corrective action," White said.
The station reported that several female officers say they have faced ridicule and are filing two grievances against the department. Even if Love made an innocent mistake, the damage they feel has already been done.
