Prosecutors have filed charges against a man accused of trying to cut several people with a machete at a party in Galveston, Texas, MyFoxHouston reports.
Around 1 a.m. on Sept. 20th, officers were sent to a home where residents were throwing a birthday party that 26-year-old Javier Aragon reportedly got into an argument with another man and tried to cut people with a machete, MyFoxHouston reports.
Police say, guests used chairs to block the machete strikes and managed to scare Aragon away.
Aragon is charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
After tracking Aragon down several blocks away, police took him back to the party where guests identified him as the attacker, MyFoxHouston reports.
He is in custody on $80,000 bond for each count.
